Tonga | Two Places Available
Taking place 1–8 August in Vava'u, the expedition is part of the Arksen Ocean Fellowship Programme supporting people who experience, document and share stories from the blue world. The two selected storytellers will swim respectfully with humpback whales and take part in The Whale Signal Project, collecting non invasive audiovisual data on the sound world of whales.
Applications close on Friday, 17 July.
Jono Allen is an Australian underwater photographer, freedive instructor, environmental scientist, marine megafauna guide, and naturalist with a deep passion for ocean life. He has led immersive whale encounters in Vava’u, Tonga, since 2019, blending his expertise in freediving and natural history to create safe, respectful in-water experiences with humpback whales.
