Special sunflower slots can be booked for those who need a little more space and quiet to really enjoy the experience.

The access to the pontoons and around the yard is all accessible by wheelchair. Please contact the team directly so we can discuss your specific needs to make sure you have the appropriate support to enjoy the day.

The Arksen 8 is a relatively quiet boat, however, there will be some engine noise but these will unlikely be sudden or scary.

The A8 is an incredibly safe and dry RIB. Its high-performance hull and deep-V design ensure a stable ride, minimising spray and keeping the cockpit comfortable and dry. You should feel very safe and comfortable on board.We always moderate the speed and route to match both the weather conditions and the comfort requirements of our guests. While there is a chance of a little bit of sea spray or wind-blown water (which can sometimes add a bit of fun excitement!), this is a very safe experience, and we operate well within safe parameters.

We have adult life jackets. If you are bringing children with you please ensure you also bring the appropriately fitting lifejacket for them.

• Wear warm layers, we have multiple watertight storage areas onboard the boat so feel free to bring a bag with options. 
• Waterproof trousers (the Arksen 8 is a dry boat but we can’t guarantee the weather.)
• Flat shoes
• Warm hat

After your on water sea trial we will have the opportunity to take a look through the yard at the other other boats we have in different stages of construction. 

On site we will have a number of Arksen 8’s to view, a new Arksen Pro 10m, the Overland Unimog and a number of Landrovers and a selection of Arksen Clothing to view.

As we will be meeting at the Quarterdeck Cafe you will have the opportunity to grab anything you need before we head out on the water. 

Please feel free to bring snacks for the boat ride.

There are bathrooms available at the Quarter deck cafe where we are meeting and returning to after the sea trial.

Yes, an adult with suitable experience can take the helm under the guidance of an Arksen skipper.

Unfortunately due to company SOPs only those over the age of 18 are able to drive the boat on a sea trial.

The Arksen 8 is an incredibly dry ride, however it might be raining so having a change of clothes for the way home is probably a good idea.

Focusing on the horizon is always a good trick, sometimes being on helm can help. There are other options including ginger tablets which you can take ahead of time but please consult with your doctor before taking anything new.

Yes, please do take as many pictures as you like. 

On one of the days we might have a film crew out to capture some additional content. Please let us know if you would prefer not to be captured and we can plan accordingly.

You should expect a mix of conditions, as you head out through the harbour it should be calmer but expect some waves and choppier conditions when you head into the Solent.

There are multiple dry storage lockers onboard the boat. Anything you do not need on the boat we recommend you leave in your car.

To give everyone enough time at the helm we are limiting the group number to 5 passengers.

Providing you have an appropriately sized lifejacket for your child there is no age limit for bringing them along.
