The Arksen Transitional Jacket Guide

Transitional outerwear from Arksen Apparel is crafted for the in-between, combining insulation and breathability with protection and lightness. This guide highlights pieces designed to adapt as the seasons shift, keeping you ready for every setting.

A Modular System for Shifting Seasons

Transitional weather is unpredictable. Sun one hour, rain or cold winds the next.

At Arksen Apparel, we design performance outerwear that adapts. Each piece in the AW collection is made to work within a modular layering system, uniting advanced technical fabrics with considered functionality. The result is versatile outerwear that performs across changing conditions.

The Outer Shells

Your first line of defence against the elements. Insulated jackets provide warmth, while waterproof shells shield you from wind and rain. Each piece is designed to work seamlessly with Arksen mid layers for a complete performance system.

Mistral Jacket

A recycled down jacket using a Water Zero dyeing process to rastically reduce water consumption. Lightweight, highly packable, and warm, it’s both an everyday essential for cooler transitional days, and an outdoor stalwart for more active adventures.

Triton Jacket

A stitchless baffle thermal jacket crafted from Pertex® 3D Loom fabric and filled with PrimaLoft® ThermoPlume recycled loose fibres. The seamless construction enhances durability and wind resistance, while providing down-like warmth with fast-drying performance.

Lentus Jacket

Engineered for harsher environments, the Lentus uses the same advanced Pertex® shell as the Triton but is filled with Re:Down recycled down for maximum insulation, with a Scholler sofr shell back panel for ease of movement during high activity. Storm-ready, highly durable, and responsibly made.

Obex Jacket

A 3-layer Schoeller® C-change shell with full alpine/marine functionality. Highly waterproof and breathable, with features like waterproof zips, storm hood, and snow skirt. Built for demanding environments.

Idun Jacket

A lightweight, simplified 3-layer C-change shell. Stripped back to essentials for a clean, minimal design that offers exceptional reliable waterproof and windproof protection in a more packable format.

Pair with technical midlayers

Once your outer shell is in place, Arksen midlayers provide the next level of adaptability. Worn beneath a jacket or on their own in milder conditions, these pieces offer warmth and breathability where you need it most, complementing the performance and protection of the outer shells.

The System in Action

Build combinations that flex with conditions:

  • Cool & Dry | Casus Fleece + Mistral → Recycled warmth for everyday wear.

  • Wet & Active | Nox Hoodie + Triton + Idun → Breathable warmth with waterproof protection in a lightweight shell.

  • Cold & Harsh | Limosa + Lentus + Obex → Maximum down insulation under a fully featured 3L storm shell.

  • All-Season Kit | Nox + Casus + Triton/Lentus + Obex/Idun → A modular system ready for every shift in weather.
