Tonga Dive Adventure

Dive with humpback whales in Tonga while joining pioneering whale research and eDNA study

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Arksen Adventures and our recent role in the groundbreaking film Ocean with David Attenborough, we are offering you an exclusive opportunity to follow in the flipper trails of the Ocean film crew and go freediving with humpback whales.

Alongside this extraordinary encounter, you’ll take part in pioneering whale research – from fluke identification and acoustic monitoring to cutting-edge environmental DNA (eDNA) sampling, which reveals hidden insights into marine biodiversity and the health of Tonga’s whale populations.

Highlights

  • Swim and freedive alongside humpback whales during peak breeding and calving season.
  • Participate in pioneering whale research with Zuzu, National Geographic Explorer, including fluke identification, acoustic monitoring, and eDNA sampling.
  • Learn directly from Zuzu through whale behaviour workshops and hands-on fieldwork.
